More Than You Ever Wanted To Know About Us

KRISTIN

Kristin grew up in Winston, N.C., the eldest daughter of loving parents Bob and Carmen. The family was soon joined by another beautiful girl, Kelly, and set about creating a life filled with travel, pictures* and laughs. After entertaining dreams of becoming an astronaut, Kristin enrolled at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, forever cementing her love of the Tar Heels. Upon graduation, she began a career in marketing that took her all over North Carolina, to Washington, D.C., and back to her college roots in N.C.'s Triangle. These days, Kristin works as e-commerce marketing manager at The Body Shop, which keeps her challenged and busy—not to mention sparkly clean and deliciously aromatic. She also enjoys spending time on the water, sightseeing, visiting with friends, and watching lots and lots of football.

SCOTT
As a Coast Guard brat, Scott had a whirlwind childhood that began when he was born just outside of Chicago and subsequently took him to New Jersey, Indiana, North Carolina, Alaska, North Carolina, New Jersey and North Carolina. Older brother Cliff and younger brother Dan kept him alternately tortured and entertained, while father Cliff and mother Maureen did their best to contain three rambunctious sons. After graduating high school in Lanoka Harbor, N.J., Scott decided to attend North Carolina State University in Raleigh, N.C., where older bro Cliff had a lot of, shall we say, "college experience." Working at 42nd Street Oyster Bar alongside Cliff and one-day sister-in-law Holly to help him through school, Scott earned a degree in English and began a career in writing. Following employment experiences that included television, radio, technical writing, sportswriting and even working for a blind midget, Scott now works as the senior creative strategist at Bold Interactive and does freelance writing for Pack Pride. He likes to play golf with his brothers, write, and feed the sadistic streak that has led him to love the Wolfpack, Dolphins and Mets.

US
After building a bond created by sharing a work cubicle and strengthened by mutual support through difficult and illogical relationships, Scott and Kristin—quickly and affectionately dubbed "Kriscott" by the national media—began dating in June 2006, after Kristin had left the company they worked for. With Kristin beginning a new job in Charlotte and Scott living in Raleigh, the pair maintained a long-distance affair for nearly a year and a half. Kristin then found a new position back in Raleigh, and the couple learned that proximity makes the heart grow fonder. During a week-long journey to Ireland in April 2008, Scott proposed to Kristin, who fulfilled his life with three simple letters … "Yes."
